about

The very first Storm Bugs track to be released by Snatch Tapes. Hodge was included on 'Snatch Tapes 1' in 1979 and 'A Safe Substitute' in 1980. The source material for the track was a short wave radio jamming signal, which was being broadcast from somewhere behind the Iron Curtain in the late 1970s to block Radio Free Europe transmissions. The radio signal was fed through the filter and envelope of the VCS3 synthesizer using the low frequency oscillators to slice the signal up into chunks.
